报告摘要:This talk is concerned with the study of Dirichlet problems in a domain perforated with a large number of tiny holes. The study is motivated by the homogenization theory of elliptic equations and systems in perforated domains, which are used to model perforated materials and fluid flows in porous media. In a joint project with R. Righi and J. Wallace, we consider Laplace’s equation and establish W^{1,p} estimates with sharp bounding constants depending explicitly on the minimal distances between the holes and the size of holes. The proof relies on a large-scale estimate for harmonic functions in perforated domains. A key step involves an observation that a harmonic function in a perforated domain may be well approximated by solutions of an intermediate problem for a Schödinger operator in a fixed domain.

报告人简介
申仲伟,肯塔基大学杰出教授,14岁考入北京大学数学系,1989年在芝加哥大学获得博士学位,主要从事调和分析与偏微分方程的研究。近年来,申仲伟教授在偏微分方程均匀化理论的研究上取得了一系列丰富而深刻的结果,在Journal of the American Mathematical Society, Communications in Pure and Applied Mathematics,Duke Mathematical Journal,Journal of the European Mathematical Society,Archive for Rational Mechanics and Analysis,Mathematische Annalen,Advances in Mathematics等国际权威期刊上发表论文90余篇。
申仲伟教授2012年当选美国数学会会士,2016年当选肯塔基大学艺术与科学学院杰出教授。并于2007-2011年任肯塔基大学数学系系主任。
